Terrifying!

I have to admit I was terrified I was going to do something wrong for that first bath, but nothing bad happened - except a very slippery wet baby :)

Aveeno Baby Products

My youngest son and I have eczema.Over the years we have found out that Aveeno are the best products out there, this is the only stuff that controls our flare ups. We absolutely love Aveeno products! When I became a new mom, I was afraid to give my babies their first baby but as time when on it definitely got easier. I remember that they both cried during the bath.

We were lucky our son loved his first bath. I think we were more nervous and of course had to get the whole thing on tape.

third time is a charm

By Tanya on Friday, November 11, 2011

We just had our third kid. He got his first bath in September and he is loving it. Every day when we miss his bath time, I feel guilty. I would not say that his first bath time was very easy but he had fun from the get go and was much braver than my other 2 at his tender age of 10 days.

Baby Essential so needed

By Dezi on Friday, November 11, 2011

Hi...I am a new mom and just had my first bundle of joy in September. The first bath experience with my baby boy was nerve recking and more scare for me (since I didn't know what I was doing). But, my grandma (my baby's great-greatmother) came to my rescue and taught me how to give my baby a fast and efficient bath. To my surprise my baby boy enjoyed his first bath, he didn't cry nor scream. I was able to take a few pictures. Now I am able to do it with no help. Thanks grandma. BTW- I love the Aveeno products, my auntie introduced me to them and now that is all I like to use on my baby.

Aveeno

An adventure, since I didn't know how my lil one would react. Turn out to be better then I expected. Cried a little, scream a few times (cause mommy was taking to long) but over all a great first experience.

Part time teacher/Full time mom

I have three children-- my youngest only a year old. However, that first bath with my third baby was filled with just as much anxiety as with my first baby! None of my children enjoyed their first bath-- crying the entire time! Of course, I had my husband take pictures anyway. In time, though, within a month or two of being home, bath time for each one of my children became the favorite part of their bed time routine! They can't get enough of the water....

That first bath was very precious. Our poor girl looked scared the entire time, but never cried. :)

May the Force Be With You

By Carrie Jodelka on Friday, November 11, 2011

Armed with warm rags, baby shampoo, and nerves of steel my husband and I began the process of sponge bathing our daughter during her first days home from the hospital. Remembering all of the details taught in our baby care class we gave Penelope the slowest, most meticulous bath of her life. Now, as seasoned veterans, we can have her clean in 5 minutes flat - but - that first time took nearly 20 minutes. No wonder she screamed! While she screamed, we found ourselves suddenly laughing...wrapped in her post-bath hooded towel she looked like a Jedi Knight! We snapped dozens of pictures of our would-be Obi-Wan ...adorable photographs to be exploited in future years when we look back fondly upon that first bath.
