interfaith caroling!!By randi gillespie on Friday, November 11, 2011 Okay, so my family does not only celebrate Christmas, but we celebrate Hanukah as well! To make sure it is an "even playing field" at our home, we combine many of the Christmas carols and add some Hanukah flair to them. We love to sing and shake our "booties" to the Christmas and Hanukah songs. For micriphones, they will use jumpropes, spoons and pens to belt out their favorite tunes! My middle daughter, who happens to have special needs, will shake her bootie to Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer ,while my oldest 6 year old will be singing Dreidel, Dreidel, I made it out of Clay.." As an interfaith couple, with three children under the age of 6 (6; 5 and 2!) we need to keep them as active and busy as possible. I think secretly all 3 would love it if the Black Eyed Peas came out with a Holiday CD!! My youngest 2 absolutely love Dora, so this prize package is serious business for them!! Thanks-Randi |

We do some crafts, sings carols, every weekend after Thanksgiving because family is the best gift there is. Its not just presents by Santa but our family joins together, the children that really understand know what Christmas means. Singing is one of our bestest ways we spend time with each other and The Chipmunks. :][: I have two young babied ages 1 and 2 yrs old and they love Dora. Merry Christmas everyone. |
Frosty the SnowmanBy Kari Alvarado on Friday, November 11, 2011 My 2 yrd old is absolutely in love with Frosty and breaks into song anytime he sees a snowman or snow or just feels like singing...the best part being when he can't remember the words, his voice goes really high and he sings the "oooooo" part of the backup singers :) If I try to sing other carols, he just says, "no mama, sing frosty". So maybe Dora could spark his interest in other songs before Mama gets frostbite from too much Frosty :) |
