favorite gameBy Janine McDavitt on Friday, November 11, 2011 Our son's favorite game, now ours too, is to play parade! We all get assigned instruments, of course assigned by the grand marshall, our son, and march around playing our instruments. We stops when he blows the whistle and then do a routine when the whistle blows again. We march throughout the house, through rooms and hallways, and throw pretend candy to the pretend people/kids watching us! It's so fun to see his creative mind! |

Favorite toddler gameBy Pilar Little on Friday, November 11, 2011 My daughter dresses up like a rock star, complete with sunglasses and guitar, then puts on her favorite karaoke song and makes up new words to rhyme with the song. |
dancing & hide and seekBy Mary on Friday, November 11, 2011 My niece's Lanie is 17 months and the two things we do everyday is dance and play hide and seek (with my cell phone) she will run through the house yelling "hi" until she finds my phone and then pretends to talk on it, occasionally she gets lucky and someone answers (lol). |
Songs and Creative PlayBy Jenny on Friday, November 11, 2011 My son loves to sing songs and rhymes (i.e.- Patty Cake, The Itsy Bitsy Spider, etc) and he is continually more creative with his play. The other day he pretended that a cardboard box was his house. I had to ring the doorbell and he would look for me through the "little window." Then he would invite me into his "house." He also loves to imitate things that I do (i.e.- pretending to cook, etc.). |
Favorite GameBy Carol on Friday, November 11, 2011 My toddler loves to "grocery shop". she picks out play food and puts it in her easter "shopping" basket, checks out at her cash register, and brings it to her play kitchen to make dinner! |
Sweet PrizeBy Delia Canino on Friday, November 11, 2011 My toddler and I love to play in the car and we may look for specific color cars or plates sometimes we look for certain signs we love it and it keeps us entertained on car trips. |
"Scary Monster"By Rachel on Friday, November 11, 2011 The kids think it's hysterical when I go hide, and then they try to find me...only to have me pop out and go "ROOOAR!" I then chase them around the house trying to grab them to tickle them. They laugh hysterically the whole time. My son sometimes cannot run because he can't catch his breath because he cannot stop laughing. They then like to play this game with each other...only one of them gets under a blanket and chases the other around. Too funny! :) |
Freeze Dance!By Martha on Friday, November 11, 2011 My granddaughter Lexi and I like to play this game that we made up called Freeze Dance. It is always played in our kitchen and I start to tune to the same song, and at the end of our made up song, I say "freeze" and she will stay frozen until I say it is ok. We have soo much fun! And the funnier thing is that if someone is looking at us from outside, I am the only one they see cause she does not reach the height of my kitchen windows! |
