The Music Institute of Chicago celebrated their Chicago Parent co-sponsored Free Spring Family Festival on Sunday, April 17 from 2 – 5 pm. Located at Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, the festival included hand’s on experience with musical instruments including their impressive pipe organ and performances. Balloon artistry provided by Tobi of Terrific Parties By Tobi! Founded in 1931, the Music Institute of Chicago (MIC) is the oldest community music school in Illinois. The Evanston campus is an Evanston Historic Landmark and its 500 seat Nichols Concert Hall has been called “a jewel box” by Chicago Tribune music critic John Van Rhein.
