Located in southwest Cook County, this paved, nine-mile trail near Willow Springs meanders through woods and along the Sanitary and Ship Canal. No longer in use, this historic waterway once provided access to commerce on the East Coast. Now it is a shady-and easy-ride for beginners. Parking available in the Forest Preserve District parking lot below Willow Springs Road.
