The skies are lighting up all over Chicagoland. Find out when and where to catch your local Fourth festivities and make a pitch for why your town's fireworks are the best. And, if you can't make it to a fireworks show on the Fourth of July, you can catch them at Navy Pier every Wednesday and Saturday night during the summer months.

Naperville Ribfest

After eating your fill (and maybe a few other people's fill, too) of ribs, settle in for Naperville's July 4th fireworks show, a 30-minute celebration kicking off at 9:30 p.m. Residents can also tune into 95.9 FM The River to hear a musical simulcast during the fireworks show.

July 4, Parade at 12:45 p.m., fireworks at 7:30 p.m.

It won't be your imagination if you think the procession is going the wrong way down Main Street on July 4th. This year, the Downers Grove parade route will originate at Main St. and Grant St. on the north side of town and proceed SOUTH on Main toward the Downtown, ending at Warren Avenue. The parade begins at 12:45 p.m.
