    Waterpark hotel get-away?

We are hoping to take an overnight trip with the kids before the summer is out. We are on a budget and were thinking a train ride to Milwaukee to the Hilton's Paradise Landing or a drive to a new place, Key Lime Cove in Gurnee. I have read a few on-line reviews, but I was wondering if any Chicago Parent families have been to either location? Or do you have another place that you like? We are hoping to keep it under $200, if possible. Thanks!

Can't help you with my idea, Mt. Olympus/Hotel Rome in the Dells, with indoor and outdoor water & theme parks ($200/300+/night), but my brother & sisterinlaw recently stayed at the newer indoor-only water park in Arlington Hts or Schaumburg, sorry I can't remember which suburb, Coco Key.  Anyway - they got a room for $159/night, that included 4 water park passes, and stayed 2 nights!  Have fun, and act quick!!

Cool! I checked out both affordable recommendations and both look great! Perhaps we'll try to get to the third, more expensive, one next year! Thanks for taking the time to write!!

We took our Girl Scout troop to Coco Key's for an end of year party last June.  They had a great time in the water park.  It kept them busy for hours & hours.  Things to do for the little ones all the way up to teens.  I can't comment on the hotel prices - but the daily water park price was just right for our group.  We rented a cabana for the day.  Nice place to sit, eat and relax when you're not in the water.

My husband and I went to the CoCokey in

Rockford with the kids.  we paid 200 for the special including tickets for the indoor waterpark and then went to the magic waters water park just minuets away. It was a great get away for the end of summer.  The package we got from the cocokey hotel includes meal tickets and tickets to come back to the park in Sept including meal ticket in sept also.  Great deal and lots of fun.

Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells is really nice. And they offer a lot of specials that sometimes include dinner and breakfast. They list upcoming special rateson their website: http://www.kalahariresorts.com/wi/
