Community Server

I'm looking to work and go to graduate school in Chicago.  I've looked at living in the south Loop and even a few blocks from the Board of Trade building.  Am I being naive in thinking that my wife and two kids (1 and 5) can live comfortably in this area?

The South Loop has really changed over the years and it continues to change. I have a couple of friends with children who have lived in the South Loop and currently live there now and they love it. The convenience of walking to work, the proximity to the lake and museums makes it an ideal place to live (my opinion).

check out the public and private schools first! nothing can make you regret your decision to live somewhere quicker then a bad schooling situation for your kids.
