Re: Get your tickets to "Space Chimps" here

If my daughter went up into space, she would probably just gather up toys and dolls thinking she'll play with them on the trip.  Once in the spaceship, I think her curiosity would take over, the toys tossed aside, and every button on board would have to be pushed!  At bedtime, she'll regret not having her mommy or pacifier at her side.

Re: Get your tickets to "Space Chimps" here

My kids love the night sky and if they had a change to travel into space they will most likely take our puppy to protect them from Aliens, art supplies to draw the beauty of the universe, and bottled water in case they get thirsty.

    Thanks,

I have three kids and the 11 year old would take some of her favorite books, she loves to read.  The 4 year old would probably take her grandpa cause she loves being with him all the time.  The 2 year old would probably take his carrots and ranch with him.  He loves to snack on those all the time.

Re: Get your tickets to "Space Chimps" here

My 8 & 11 year old have begun to expect that wherever there's an educational outing (museums, zoos), there's a gift shop lurking nearby.  If they went to space, they'd want to take their allowance to buy souvenirs.  I'd enjoy letting them know that space is so "out of this world" that nothing there is for sale.

Re: Get your tickets to "Space Chimps" here

Well, I would have said that my daughter, age 7, would take her favorite stuffed elephant, Ellie, and my son, age 5, would take his Thomas trains, but I thought I'd asked them.  Their answers were more practical than I had guessed.  This is what they said:

My son would take food and drinks (bananas, cereal and milk), a guitar for music, flowers, and corn dogs so that when he gets close to the sun, he could cook them and eat them.  He also stated he would "bring back the moon" from his trip for us.

My daughter wanted to bring cinamon bread, peanut butter and jelly, Fruit Loops and water.  She wanted to bring pajamas and a flashlight, too.  She also felt she could use a "code reader" to help her figure out any secret codes she might encounter.

    Neither said toys...go figure!

Re: Get your tickets to "Space Chimps" here

According to my 5 year old, he would take his basketball to the moon.  However, my 4 year old would take his camera so he could take pictures.  I think that would be my choice too.  Kids on the moon - what a thought!  One day that might be a reality.

Re: Get your tickets to "Space Chimps" here

I asked my son what he would like to bring with him if he had the chance to go to space and he said a camera. So that he could take lots and lots of pictures so that he could show everyone what he saw.

Re: Get your tickets to "Space Chimps" here

If my son could take anything with him to space, he would take all of his Elmo toys and videos and all of his toys that sing the ABC's...that, by the way, is his #1 song.  I listen to it like 500 times a day!
