This week's piece of the prize, March 27, 2008

This week's prize is way better than any old Scooby Snack. Five lucky Chicago Parent readers will win "A Pup Named Scooby Doo: Season One" on DVD. To win, tell us what current cartoon show you actually like watching with (or without) your kids. Post your answer here, then e-mail your answer, name and your Chicago Parent ID to e-dition at chicagoparent dot com. You must post and e-mail us for your answer to be counted. We will not release your information-it is purely for contact purposes. Some answers may appear in Chicago Parent magazine. Winners will be chosen at random and may have no affiliation with Wednesday Journal Inc. or its employees.

This contest is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated.

I like The Simpson's but that's really for adults anyway.... as far as kids cartoons go, I don't mind Jimmy Neutron, it's pretty entertaining. Spongebob can be funny, but only for so long. Maybe 2 episodes, depending on my mood...... My husband watches all the Marvel or Super Hero stuff with or without our son....

We've rediscovered the joys of Tom and Jerry cartoons while watching them with our kids. Love being able to rotate through a collection via on demand cable and I hear there are a bunch on-line, too.

My favorite cartoon to watch with my son is The Smurfs.  This was one of my favorite cartoons as a young girl and brings back fond memories.  My son and I also love to watch the adventures of Scooby Doo.  Often times it doesn't start until 8pm in the evening, which is my son's bedtime, so as a special treat he gets to stay up a half hour longer.

I am a HUGE fan of Little Einstein's - I have memorized the theme song and look forward to their latest releases. I have even learned a great deal by watching them because it educates the children about classical music, art, and cultures around the world.

"Fairly Odd Parents" is actually quite funny. It is about a boy with two magical fairies who help him out of jams, but generally cause more trouble than they fix.

I like watching Scooby Doo and Dora with my kids because they get so excited when the songs come on.  We also sing the songs around the house and in the car as well.  If I had to watch a cartoon by myself, it would be the Animaniacs.

My daughter loves Dragon Tales and I must confess that I've found ways to enjoy Max, Emmy, Zack, Weezy, and the crowd.  The message is positive and the magic of being transported to a land of long ago is something that plays with my five-year-old daughter's imagination.  I also like that there is some Spanish spoken.

I can honestly say, I sometimes like watching the Backyardigans.  Their voices are so cute.  Every once and a while it is ok, if I had to watch countless hours of it, daily, I don't know if I would feel the same way.

I enjoy Family Guy and I do not miss Batman on Saturdays. When I was little I enjoyed the Flinstons and the Jetsons. My son enjoys Scooby Doo and George from the Jungle )

I really enjoy Ms. BG on Qubo. My kids watch and love it too. I like it because BG reminds me of me as a little girl and at first it always seems like she does the "bad" thing but then she quickly tries to fix the problem.  I also like the show because it does have a moral to every story and every story has a happy ending! :)

I like watching Farily Odd Parents with my daughter and she generously tolerates it.  I've gotten so fond of the show, I'm even willing to watch it without her.  Our favorite to watch together, though, is just about anything on Noggin.  We are Noggin junkies at my  house!

I am a child of the 80's so I still enjoy watching the Smurf's on boomrang (cartoon network) .

I will actually find myself fliping through the channels and watching My Gym Partner is a Monkey.  I still have not fighured out why, but I do.

Actually I like to watch with my kids "Sponge Bob".  We enjoy with them a lot.  My son Chris, make pop corn.

    See you.
