All over the City Schools are firing PAT3 teachers whether good or bad,, and do you know why? So they dont have to be tenured.. That means that the same teachers are teaching our kids, all the bad ones. the good ones are going elsewhere..

PAT3 teachers are those that are just finishing their 3rd year of teaching, and some are excellent, but who cares? Principals are apparently under orders to get new ones... This is really ridiculous.

Entire administrations are going, schools are going, its a catch 22..

Maybe litigation is in order.... 

Steve, CPS seemingly doesn't care about our kids. They are experimenting on our children. They are taking schools apart and trying to fix their 100-million-in-debt budget in ways that don't benefit students or teachers. If you follow the CPS political dealings and yes, all their decisions seem to be politically motivated not educationally motivated, you will see that not only does the school board flagrantly disregard their own rules and policies, they are violating national statutes such as the freedom of information act, desegregation guidelines, and a host of others. Our schools dealings with CPS have been horrendous and we are actively pursuing our grounds for litigation against CPS. They hold sham public meetings and then pretend to have taken the public input into consideration when they rule directly against the majority. Arnie Duncan and the rest of the school board are political puppets. They don't do anything that Daley hasn't signed off on first. Just ask Rufus Williams. Try having your position considered at a school board meeting and you will see the complete lack of respect that they have for you and the teachers. 

Need to move to the suburbs soon.
