Cosmotot

Hi Ho, Silverware!

Toddlers are like little lone rangers when it comes to mealtimes.

At least the picky ones are.

Wills would much rather extend his marathon of uninterrupted playtime than stop for a quick bite, so as soon as that dinner bell rings, he's gone at the speed of light, and all I'm left with is a draft and the reverberations of his slippered feet thundering down the hall ... and away from the kitchen.

Although, I have to say, that's not really happening all that much anymore since we tried out super cute, friendly-faced, totally Euro trendy Trebimbi tableware (shown at top left, $45) from Vestone, Italy-based Rivadossi’s U.S. subsidiary, Italian Casa.

It's way more fun to eat bite after bite of broccoli, eggs and angel hair pasta with garlic and a touch of grated parm (Wills' favorites - yes, I'm a geeky scratch cook) when your dinnerware smiles at you after each bite, and does so over and over again until that plate is clean.

Yep, you read right. Each brightly colored fork, knife, spoon and cup is engraved with a sweet, smiling face that truly captures the carefree sense of childhood while combining it with a quirky contemporary look.

All of the stylish, practical, and of course, functional pieces are also dishwasher safe and unbreakable, which scores big parental points, too.

Best of all, novice noshers don't have to worry about keeping track of all those wily utensils, since each piece of cutlery easily fastens on to the plate and on to the sides of the cup, keeping everything accessible and at their little fingertips throughout breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I guess Tonto's going to need a new gig.

Cosmomama says there's more in the details:
Get in on the food fun with Trebimbi Party and other sets from the Trebimbi line, since all will be available at well-known national children's retailers like The Right Start and Target.
