It’s tough for anyone who has severe food allergies, especially if you’re a kid. In our house, we have one with major food allergies—no soy protein, no dairy, no wheat, no peanuts, which are four of the top eight food allergies. To find a line of tasty snacks and food that would otherwise be off limits is kind of exciting.
Enjoy Life Foods seems to take great pride in finding ways around the top eight food allergies, which include milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soy. The company’s products include trail mixes, snack bars, cereals, cookies and bagels. We tried the Mountain Mambo ($3.49) and Beach Bash ($3.79) trail mixes and the Sunbutter Crunch Snack Bars ($4.29), which was the favorite for us. The snack bars were a great sweet treat and weren’t hard to find in our local store. Our allergy all-star said, “It was like eating a peanut butter bar, but with no peanut butter.”
