My husband and I continue our Zen
Parenting series at Elmhurst Yoga
Shala this Sunday, June 27 from 6-8
p.m. We will discuss differing parenting styles,
parenting as a team, and how to communicate effectively (with your
significant other and children).
As always, the first 30-40 minutes of class will focus on
YOU. Think of it as "self care" relaxation,
visualization, meditation, and mind/body awareness. We will
do a few simple yoga stretches, calming visualization, and some
quiet relaxation to release stress and calm the mind so we can have
an effective conversation about parenting.
Learning how to "let go" and relax is important for your
emotional and physical health, and it also allows you to parent
from a more conscious and aware place.
The rest of the time we will discuss how to parent effectively,
even when parenting styles differ. We will focus on how to
communicate effectively, how to be true to yourself while
respecting others, and how to reconnect with every member of your
family. You will leave the workshop with new ideas
and greater awareness!
