It’s tough enough to forego the goodies at the holidays without a family vacation trip to Disneyland Resorts, where the holiday-inspired treats are even more tempting than usual.
During a visit to the Disneyland Resorts in Anaheim, California, for the annual Holiday Blogger event, we were treated to some of the most gorgeous and yummy things I have ever tasted.
These chocolate Mickeys and tuxedoed strawberries greeted us in our room and were almost too pretty to eat. Almost. But we ate them anyway.
And then there were the Mickey cupcakes that were so rich it was hard to eat a whole one. But we did.
The Warm San Francisco White Chocolate and Cranberry Bread Pudding was worth a second helping. So we forced ourselves.
The Cucina Cucmonga Sweet Dulce de Leche Dessert Nachos with Fruit Topping was delectable. Despite that, we finally had to stop ourselves. We had no room left to try the Holiday Brownie Skewer, Homemade Almond Cookie Sandwich with Strawberry Crème or the Lucky Fortune Mango Parfait.
Despite the number of calories we had already consumed – I gained three pounds in three days – I would have made room for a handmade candy cane. Sadly, the Disneyland elves weren’t making candy canes the day we visited. (Be sure to check the schedule before you go. They only make the holiday treats on certain days. Even then, Disneyland Resort officials say, it’s important to get there early if you want one.)
