Health product giant Johnson & Johnson recalled 4.8 million packages of children's allergy and pain medicine, citing manufacturing problems.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Details: The company is recalling 4 million packages of Children's Benadryl allergy medication and 800,000 bottle of Junior Strength Motrin. The recall is only taking place at the wholesale and retail levels. It is still safe for children to use the products.
About 90,000 Bassettbaby drop-side cribs have been recalled, the latest in a string of problems with these types of cribs. If the drop-side railing detaches, a baby can roll over and fall out of the crib, or they can fall into the gap between the drop-side and the mattress opening the door for entrapment and suffocation.
Incidents/Injuries: Three incidents in which the antenna broke off. A child was found mouthing the toy phone’s antennae but was not injured.
Details: The cribs included in this recall are drop-side cribs manufactured by Bassettbaby. They are wood with a metal mattress frame and come in many different finishes. "Bassettbaby" or "Bassett Furniture" is printed on the label attached on the footboard or headboard. The model numbers can also be found there along with the production date. In older models of the crib, the manufacturer's name may appear on a separate label. Cribs without drop-sides are not a part of this recall.
