Pinned it! Tried it! Loved it!: Brownie in a Mug

Stop what you’re doing right now and empty out that cup of coffee that you’ve warmed for the 37th time this morning (and you know you won’t drink the remnants). Next, grab the ingredients below, warm and consume the chocolatey goodness that is Brownie in a Mug.

One of my favorite Pinterest finds has been this epic Brownie in a Mug. Chocolate lovers unite with this deliciousness that can be created with a few small ingredients, perfect portion size and with just a few minutes in your microwave. I recommend this whole-heartedly and usually wait until the little ones are asleep to sneak my mug.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • Tiny pinch of cinnamon and salt
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. canola or vegetable oil (I have used butter and that has worked just fine for me!)
  • 1 drop of vanilla extract

Directions

Mix ingredients together in your favorite (microwave-safe) mug and warm for about 1 minute and 40 seconds. If you’re unsure of your microwave strength, do for 60 seconds and then gradually cook more until desired consistency. Eat!

Is now when I should admit that I literally just warm the batter slightly and then eat it? Because that’s ooey gooey deliciousness right there (AND EGG FREE – yay for no salmonella!) Looking to get that chocolate fix without all the calories? Try the { skinny} brownie in a mug.
