This recipe has been pinned quite a bit on Pinterest and it's one of our favorites. I modified it recently to accommodate what I had in my refrigerator and the results were just as successful. This Honey Garlic Crockpot Chicken also is perfect as a freezer meal. Dump all the ingredients in, freeze, thaw and when ready, drop it in your crockpot!

Honey Garlic Crockpot Chicken (with my modifications)

  • 2 large chicken breasts (when butterflied, they are about 4 thinner pieces)
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped, minced, smashed, you choose!
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ⅓ cup Worcestershire sauce (this is what I used instead of soy sauce)
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • ¼ cup diced onions

Once you have everything ready, place chicken in crockpot and mixed the "sauce" together. Pour the sauce and remaining ingredients into the crockpot. I was able to cook mine on low for four hours and it was already ready eat! Modify based on your crockpot since each one is different and you want to make sure you don't over or undercook!

I love to add frozen vegetables and serve over rice or quinoa. This meal is delicious and the sauce reminds me of a barbecue sauce with a slightly tangy, sweet taste. Have you tried this recipe? What's your favorite variation?
