Ideas from Pinterest for graduation celebrations

Each year, have your child's teacher write a note to them in the same book.

This week will mark the end of my son, Charlie's, first year in preschool.

Last week, I had the chance to appreciate his teachers and in the past, you've seen that I love Dr. Seuss! So when I saw a pin floating around Pinterest a few months ago about Oh, the Places You'll Go!, I knew I wanted to start doing this for Charlie!

I snagged the book from Target back in March when they had it on sale in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. A few days before the year ended, I sent it in his backpack and asked each of his teachers to write a special note to him. They were thrilled and each of them signed it with their name & year. I plan to keep this going until he graduates high school (a long, long time from now) and then give it to him as a great keepsake. I also made sure to buy two books so I had one for my son, Jack, as well.

Did you love the book idea? What about throwing an entire party based off the book? Something the graduate or birthday child or teacher would not soon forget! Need some more graduation gift ideas? This compilation offers some useful & nostalgic ideas to give your favorite grad.

With graduations also comes Memorial Day! You might need some yummy food or even a different kind of drink to kick off summer!

Next week, I'm excited to start rolling out the summer pins to share with you! For more pins or to share your own, check out our Pinterest page.
