About this blog

Jennifer DuBose has been a featured blogger for chicagoparent.com since March, 2007 and a columnist for Chicago Parent Magazine since August, 2007.  She also writes a column for the Saturday edition of The Kane County Chronicle she calls "Tales from the Motherhood."

Though she has graduate degrees in and experience practicing both family therapy and school counseling, DuBose admits she sometimes feels bewildered when parenting her own children.  In her stories about the humbling and hilarious realities of life with kids, she tries to connect with other parents - because they struggle with, laugh about and are moved by the experience of parenting, just like she is.

A Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy since 1995, DuBose has a private practice in Batavia and can be reached at (630) 454-4047 or jenniferdubose@msn.com.  She lives in Batavia with her husband, Todd, their two children, Noah, 12, and Holly, 9.
