There are tons of free activities at local libraries. Nature walks through forest preserves are a fun way to observe the changing seasons. Camping is an economical vacation. Picnic somewhere near a pond and buy a loaf of bread to feed the ducks. Find a new park every week. Eat dinner outside. Play hide-and-seek with your kids in the dark. There are so many simple ways to give your kids lasting memories without breaking the bank.
