We host a good, old-fashioned Christmas caroling event every year. We go door-to-door with a group of adults and kids, sing a few songs, ask for non-perishable food donations, and donate them to a local food pantry. Then it's back to our house for food and drink and merriment. It's grown every year, and people tell us that it reminds them of more simple times and that they're thankful their children have the experience to help people in need.
