
When people throw their "friends" under the bus in front of others, all I can do is either stick up for the person they're talking about or listen quietly. However, this red flag tells me to be friendly with these people, as they're most likely in the same school as my own kids, but to always keep them at arms length. The likelihood of ever becoming closer friends with these gossipers after that is a solid never.
