Hearing that kind of news is tough for any parent, but don't get defensive. Hear the teacher out and get all the facts. Assure the teacher that you will address the issue with your child. Calmly ask your child for his side of the story and find out why he has been bullying other children. Hear him out. Share a childhood experience of your own with a bully to let your child see another perspective. Tell him it's wrong to bully or mistreat others and explain why. Refer to the Golden Rule. Lastly, tell him that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated and if the behavior continues, he will be disciplined.
