Kids in the Kitchen

My son bounced off the camp bus a sweaty mess the other day. He told me he had an awesome day! "What are we going to do now!" he exclaimed.

Isn't he tired?!

I decided on a cooking project, as usual. It was too steamy to go outside and play. We mashed bananas, mixed them with yogurt and poured the mixture into ice cube trays. We allowed the mixture to freeze overnight.

We could hardly wait for the frozen yogurt to be ready so we could blend it and add the best part - chocolate chips! This is the perfect healthy snack for when your child comes home hot and sweaty. Add your child's favorite toppings to make it extra special. My daughter loved rainbow sprinkles on top!

Banana Chocolate Chip Greek Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients:

2 6oz. nonfat vanilla Greek Yogurt

2 ripe bananas (the riper the banana, the sweeter the treat!)

2 Tbsp. mini chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Mash bananas and mix with vanilla Greek yogurt.

2. Pour yogurt and banana mixture into ice cube trays and freeze overnight.

3. Once frozen, place yogurt cubes into a blender for about 2 minutes or until smooth.

4. Blend in chocolate chips with a spoon and stir for 20 seconds.
