Sex mistakes women make

It's no secret around here that I am a huge fan of Eric and Kathy on The Mix.
Their topics often hit close to home, sometimes too close to home. Take yesterday morning, for instance. Eric brought up the eight sex mistakes most women make, torn from the pages of Redbook.
Mistake number 7 really caught his attention: Being a great mom, but a terrible wife. Three callers had the guts to admit, 'yes, I'm a great mom, but a terrible wife.' After pouring all of their attention and energy into the kids, they said, they had nothing left for their husbands.
I can so relate. I have a great husband, who cooks and cleans (he even does the laundry and puts it away, ladies), plus all the outside work and kid pickup. But between my commute, work and all the kids' activities, we haven't had a conversation longer than a few minutes in a long time. Most of the time, I admit, I simply point to the dry-erase calendar hanging on the refrigerator to let him know who needs to be where when and how our individual work responsibilities fit around those needs. I haven't even thanked him lately for being a great dad and a great husband.
So yes, I am a great mom, but a terrible wife. How are things for you?

Sometimes Last But Not Always Least
By Walter Burden on Tuesday, November 13, 2012
One week from today, my wife and I will celebrate 20 years of marriage. I love my wife more each day and can honestly say, from a husband's point of view, that I understand that sometimes wives are too busy or too tired to pay marital attention to male egos and more. Everybody in the family wants, needs and deserves their fair share of attention. Balance is key. Husbands are sometimes last on the list of things to do, but certainly not least!
