It has been a long, hot summer. (Really, Chicagoans, do we need to mention record-breaking, 90+ heat?) When we're not strolling the city streets, sweat creeping into zones sweat was not meant to go, we're looking for cool places to hang with the kids and have some fun.

And hooray, did we find a sweet little spot, the Little Beans Café on Webster!

With air conditioning, a big fun space for the kids to run free and a few new amazing additions, this Lincoln Park play space and cafe has everything it takes to keep the friends a'coming and the joy abounding. Here're a few goodies they've just recently added…

The Patio, where you and the kids can "chill" with a cold tasty treat

Who needs South Haven when you can have your very own ice cream social at Little Beans Cafe until 8 PM? Grab a generous scoop of delicious Homers Ice cream with friends and family while you enjoy Chicago in all its summery splendor. And when you're in the mood to be outside, relax on their new patio, where the kids can get their kicks with a wide array of their outdoor toys.

Singing in the City

Ah, live music. Little Beans is now hosting Chicago's best kindie artists with a music celebration featuring live concerts, play, BBQ food and icy delights. When it comes to easy and enjoyable ways to spend a summer afternoon or evening with the family, it doesn't get much better than this.

Bottom line: we're so lucky to have Little Beans Cafe in our backyard. It's unique, welcoming, social, and a great place to spend your days and nights.

Disclaimer: Little Beans Café also happens to be a sponsor of Families in the Loop's upcoming Brunch & Boogie on 9/18.  We love it there, our kids love it there, and so will you!
