About this blog
Marianne Navickas Walsh has an impressive history of failure. She walked away from a coveted career in the insurance industry after 10 years, dropped out of DePaul Law School after 10 minutes, and is completely incapable of producing a single girl-child to tend to her in old age. She also swore to never ever move away from Lincoln Park or marry a southside Irish cop or fireman like the mothers and grandmothers before her.
Marianne is now the proud mother of three sons and the wife of a southside Irish fireman. She has learned that sometimes you're just too dumb to know what makes you happy. Marianne blogs regularly at We Band of Mothers (webandofmothers.blogspot.com) and curses with even greater frequency. Her material is written for the imperfect, the imprudent, and the impatient mothers who know that all this stuff is really very funny if you just give it a minute.
