Do you ever feel like you just not make it through the day, with all of the demands placed on you? Between shuttling kids everywhere they need to go, endless laundry, dishes that never end, and every other obligation you have as a parent, partner, employee, and more, sometimes we all need to just step back and realize that nobody's happy if we're not happy! That's where Om on the Range yoga studio comes in.

For the past several months, Om on the Range is the place I go when I need a little more balance in my life; I know I can enter their doors stressed out, and come out feeling like a new, calmer version of me. (Need convincing? Check out this list of 77 surprising benefits of yoga)

I should also add that it is the place I am sent when my family decides they also need a calmer (read: nicer) version of me!

Annie and Beth (co-owners and sisters) are the most genuinely sweet people you could meet, and they make sure to give individualized attention to each person in their classes! I attend the Bucktown Studio, but they also have an original location in Lakeview. If you attend, please note that classes are HOT! I'm talking 96 degrees hot! Their Bikram classes (at the Lakeview location only) are even hotter. A towel and a water bottle are a must!

While I love taking classes on my own, Om on the Range also offers some great programming for families. They offer  special family classes for kids 5 and up (next one is Saturday, May 7, and we plan to attend!). And each Valentine's weekend, Beth and her husband Terry offer a couples yoga workshop. They offer free classes for the community on Saturdays at noon, taught by some of their yoga teachers-in-training.

If you live in Wicker Park or Bucktown and haven't tried out Om on the Range yet, it's time! Then you can come back here and thank me after you do…
