Chicago Shakespeare in the Park: Taming of the Shrew

Shakespeare's comedy about the battle between the sexes features professional actors in costume on a traveling stage, with an original, rock-inspired musical score. Show is performed at the Gateway Park on Navy Pier by the Chicago Shakespeare Theater and lasts 75 minutes.

Jammin' with the Jellies

Navy Pier and Shedd Aquarium have partnered to provide special games, fun activities and festive music to celebrate the extension of the Jellies exhibit. Guests can play games, take their photo with a beach-themed photo board and interact with Navy Pier's own beach bum dancers. Pier visitors can also receive free Shedd Aquarium tickets.

Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks

Summer concerts

From family friendly theater productions to the most popular bands in the Midwest performing every Wednesday during the summer, the Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center has plenty of free entertainment. Each show is broadcasted to the lawn audience and presented with conventional and robotic lights, fog machine, laser effects and three giant 9x12 permanent projector screens. Concert and theater spectators bring their own picnic and/or purchase food and beverage just steps away from their seats provided by the theater or blankets and lawn chairs they bring.
