Seeds are the source of life for all the trees and plants in our forest preserves and gardens and this is the time of year they begin to come alive.Learn about how seeds like tiny acorns can transform into giant oak trees and create a "living locket" to take home and care for. Register by May 3.

From superheroes to undersea adventures, princesses to dinosaurs, Storytown takes children on an interactive, improvised adventure. The actors use kids' suggestions and ideas to create a different story each week. Kids design the setting and help shapes the story. Runs through the end of February 2013, then moves to Stage 773 in Chicago.

This musical comedy is based on the best-selling children's book about a take-charge family that refuses to let things get in their way. On a road trip to the beach, their car breaks down. The family gets lost. Then, their dog is not allowed in the park. But, teamwork and ingenuity save the day in this new musical, with a cast of charming and wonderfully funny characters. Performances are 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 7, 14, 21, 28 and May 5, 12, 19.

musical production. Features an array of popular

Bird's nest, pop up in Oscar's trash can, twirl in Zoe's dance
