Teach your toddler about the baby animals living at the Arboretum. Connect babies with their parents, see how they grow while playing games, singing songs, and looking for different animal homes. April 25 and May 5.

Kids and adults get their hands dirty while learning how to grow healthy, inexpensive organic herbs and vegetables for the whole family to enjoy. Plant some seeds to take home to get your garden started and taste a garden-fresh snack.

From superheroes to undersea adventures, princesses to dinosaurs, Storytown takes children on an interactive, improvised adventure. The actors use kids' suggestions and ideas to create a different story each week. Kids design the setting and help shapes the story. Runs through the end of February 2013, then moves to Stage 773 in Chicago.

It's Elmo and the Fabulous Five to the rescue with this musical production. Features an array of popular songs, including "Old MacDonald," "Splish Splash," "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and "Sunny Days." Plus, come and play before the show with Play Zone, where kids can sit in Big Bird's nest, pop up in Oscar's trash can, twirl in Zoe's dance studio or visit Elmo's World (free with ticket).

The afternoon includes tea, punch, sandwiches, sweets, games, crafts, and a little dancing. Every girl goes home with a special goody bag. Wear a tiara if you like. Pre-registration is required.
