The new Railway Garden, a G-gauge model railway running through a 2.5 acre site, opens April 30. Visitors enter through a 1920s-era railway depot to see trains running through a garden of miniature plants, water features and a variety of landscapes. May 1 through October.

When: 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

FunFlatables has reserved Special Open Play sessions for special needs families. Enjoy some clean, energetic fun in soft, interactive playgrounds. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times; adults are only allowed on inflatables to assist small children. A signed waiver and socks required for all participants. Locations in Dyer, Hebron and Merrillville. April 14, May 19, June 23, July 29, Aug. 25.
