Adler Planetarium | Chicago, Ill.

Visitors become space adventurers and set off on a journey to discover the Universe in a way never done before. Travel a billion light-years and back, fly through space, orbit the Moon, zoom into a canyon on Mars, and soar through the cosmic web where a million galaxies shower down. The experience was created utilizing real telescopic data and the best scientific imagery.

Blue Man Group at Briar Street Theatre | Chicago, Ill.

Blue Man Group performances are a celebration of human connection. Mixing art, music, comedy and state-of-the-art technology, the show encourages audiences to reconnect with their inner (and outer) child and see the world through a new perspective. Backed by a live rock band, the Blue Men unify the audience for the show’s celebratory climax - an unforgettable, euphoric dance party.

The Elephant & The Whale

Chicago Children's Theatre | Chicago, Ill.

An all new family fable featuring sea shanties, wild mechanical objects, theatrical clowning, hand-painted imagery, shadow puppets and an innovative sound design. Performances are April 10-May 26, 2013 at Chicago Children's Theatre's new home, the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn, Chicago. Family-friendly 6:30 p.m. Thursday shows are preceded with a free pizza party starting at 5:45 p.m. Thursday evenings are $25 for dinner and show. On Friday evenings, families are encouraged to kick off their weekend at the 6:30 p.m. show, and stay after for a post-show craft party. Friday evenings are $25 for show and party.

Oliver

Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace | Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.

Oliver follows the adventures of young orphan Oliver Twist. Forced into the scheming underworld of pick-pocketing, Oliver finds himself caught in a tug-of-war with his family and the sinister characters he has met in the streets of London. Performances run April 4-June 2, 2013.

Big Fish

A new musical based on the book and movie. Performances run April 2-May 5.
