The evening begins indoors for a discussion on the benefits of fire to ecosystems and how the Conservation District goes about the business of burning. Then go outdoors to see a prescribed prairie and savanna burn at night.

The exhibition, created by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, explores the history of our 16th President, from his boyhood to his last years in office. Includes various family-friendly events.

Interactive learning centers include a barn slide, apple orchard and chicken coop. Maggie, a life-sized fiberglass milking cow sponsored by Golden Oaks Farm in Wauconda, will be the focus of the new exhibit. Maggie is over five feet tall and features a working udder that recirculates the water that children "milk."
