Spring Weekend at the Farm

Susanna Farms | Lake Villa, Ill.

Includes Easter Egg hunts in the hay maze and surrounding areas, toddler hay mazes, hayrides through the fields and the chance see the two bull calves born in January. Kids can also check out the new baby chickens and some bigger hens as well. Easter Egg hunts at 2 p.m.; eggs will have prizes including fun treats and seed packets.

When: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Conservation Egg Hunt

A short hike leads kids to various bird habitats where they search for "eggs" of local birds. Everyone finds "eggs" and everyone gets a prize

Abraham Lincoln: Self-Made in America

The exhibition, created by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, explores the history of our 16th President, from his boyhood to his last years in office. Includes various family-friendly events.

Oink, Baa, Moo: Farm Fun

Interactive learning centers include a barn slide, apple orchard and chicken coop. Maggie, a life-sized fiberglass milking cow sponsored by Golden Oaks Farm in Wauconda, will be the focus of the new exhibit. Maggie is over five feet tall and features a working udder that recirculates the water that children "milk."
