The Brain Body Connection

This symposium will focus on solid nutritional and therapeutic action families can take if they have a child who is experiencing any number of challenges including: being a picky eater, having a short temper, problems with bowel regulation, separation anxiety, social issues, headaches, lack of organization skills, difficulty with tactile feelings, poor sleeping habits and more.

Winter Dinosaur Exhibit

This special exhibit features the Apatosaurus, one of the largest land animals that ever existed.  View an Apatosaurus skull and leg bones, see how you measure up to an Apatosaurus leg and footprint, touch a fossilized dinosaur bone and coprolite and more.

Forts are the perfect place for pretend stakeout areas and secret society meetings. Use couch cushions, upside-down tables, doors, headboards-even stairs that go nowhere!-to create a cool and cozy space that's all your own.

Japan and Nature: Spirits of the Seasons

Kohl Children's Museum | Glenview, Ill.

A multi-media, interactive, exhibit that allows children to discover how nature is reflected and celebrated in the lives of Japanese children through special seasonal environments and traditional Japanese activities. The exhibit focuses on the regions of Lake Biwa, Sapporo, Kyoto and Fukuoka, offering an in-depth exploration of each region through video, audio and visual media, as well as authentic props and hands-on interactive activities.

Play with the Sea Life

Wonder Works | Oak Park, Ill.

The Wonder Works exhibits are populated with a wide variety of pretend sea life that can be part of your child's play. Search for the plastic fish or whales in the Great Outdoors, adopt a farm animal under the life-sized cow, build a zoo for the plastic mammals in Build It, or identify the plush birds in the orchard. New creatures are rotated in every month.
