Nature Play Days

Wheaton Park District Northside Girl Scout Cabin | Wheaton, Ill.

Sing, fiddle, jiggle and journey into the wild; encountering nature through self-play. Self-guided stations explore new themes each session. Children must be accompanied by a non-paying adult. Some activities may be outdoors, please dress accordingly. Jan. 11: Snow; Feb. 8: Owls; March 8: Light & Shadows.

When: 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Cost: $9, $7 resident

Black Bear Exhibit

Lake View Nature Center | Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.

Feature the black bear and its adaptations for survival in the forest. Crawl into the bear's den, compare your senses to that of the black bear, feel his fur, come face to face with a black bear mount and more.

Start With A Sketch Exhibition

Geneva History Center | Geneva, Ill.

Exhibition highlighting the culture of illustration through the talented cartoonists, illustrators and voice actors connected to the Geneva community. Features well-known artists such as Daws Butler, the voice of Yogi Bear and many Hanna Barbera characters, along with Chester Gould, creator of the Dick Tracy comic strip.
