Learn how to make your own wooden toys. The wood being used comes from a non-native, invasive plant called European Buckthorn. Learn about this invasive plant and why we work so hard to remove it from our natural areas.

Ice skating party for girls 6 and up. Girls are encouraged, but not required, to bring a doll or stuffed animal. Event includes skating, a photo, making a souvenir to take home, and lunch. Purchase tickets by calling (219) 769 PARK, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30p.m. or from the Lake County Parks business office, 8411 E. Lincoln Highway, 4 ½ miles east of I-65 on Route 30, just west of Deep River Waterpark. Tickets are also available at the Waterpark when the ice skating plaza is open.

Performance is a celebration of the marvelous, merry madness of the holiday season. Includes lighting of the first candle of the menorah, music from The Madrigal Singers of Grace Episcopal and a visit from the Maiden Street School of Irish Dance. Following the performance, guests are invited to enjoy cider and homemade desserts in Unity House.

When a broken hearted boy loses the treasured wooden nativity set that links him to his dead father, his worried mother persuades a lonely ill-tempered woodcarver to create a replacement, and to allow her son to watch him work on it. Performances are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday from Nov. 21-Dec. 23. Also have a select number of Wednesday morning matinees at 10 a.m.
