A Raue Center holiday tradition, Northwest Indiana Symphony
Orchestra returns once again with their holiday concer.!
Visitors become space adventurers and set off on a journey to
discover the Universe in a way never done before. Travel a billion
light-years and back, fly through space, orbit the Moon, zoom into
a canyon on Mars, and soar through the cosmic web where a million
galaxies shower down. The experience was created utilizing real
telescopic data and the best scientific imagery.
Blue Man Group is a multi-sensory experience that fuses
innovative theatrical spectacle and powerful original music with
hilarious comedy to create a performance experience unlike any
other. One of the world's most popular theatrical productions,
today's Blue Man Group is a blend of signature material that has
been in the show since the opening, as well as newer passages that
examine the influence of technology on today's world with a funny
and perceptive look at contemporary communication vehicles.
Max the Dog narrates this classic holiday tale that will
entertain the whole family as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose
heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away
from the Whos, an endlessly cheerful bunch bursting with holiday
spirit. Peformances run Dec. 5-16, 2012.
When a broken hearted boy loses the treasured wooden nativity
set that links him to his dead father, his worried mother persuades
a lonely ill-tempered woodcarver to create a replacement, and to
allow her son to watch him work on it. Performances are 8 p.m.
Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday from Nov. 21-Dec. 23. Also
have a select number of Wednesday morning matinees at 10 a.m.
The whole family will enjoy this heart-warming story of the
first Christmas tree ship, and the family who risked their lives to
fill Chicago with the Christmas spirit. Performances are from
Nov. 23 to Dec. 30. The schedule is Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and
7:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m, Saturdays at 2 p.m.
and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 1 p,m.
