Family concert: Chicago Q Ensemble

Free family concert featuring the Chicago Q Ensemble playing Joseph Haydn's String Trio in D Major, Marcos Balter's Vision Mantra, and Alexander Borodin's String Trio in G Minor. Fourth Annual Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals Show

The world's largest specialty event devoted to classic muscle cars and Corvettes features more than 500 cars. Kids and parents can enter the Miniature Model Car Contest, participate in a scavenger hunt and attend the Rescue 1 Fire Safety program. 500 Clown Frankenstein

Just as Victor Frankenstein created his monster from parts of many different people, this new iteration of "500 Clown Frankenstein" is constructed by a cast of rotating performers. Five clowns reconfigure into three different casts, each charged with the same task: "make monster."

Help Wanted: The Holiday Servants Tour

The mansion served as the Nickerson's winter residence during the late 19 th century, and the family spent every holiday season in Chicago lavishly entertaining acquaintances, friends, and family from near and far. During this tour, participants are transported back to the winter months of 1899, where they discover through a servant's eyes how the Nickersons celebrated the holidays. As applicants to a position in domestic service, participants learn the best methods for preparing plum pudding, how to prevent the new electrical lights on the Christmas tree from catching it on fire, and more.

American Indian Music and Dance

Adjacent to Macy's in the fountain will be giant ornamental display. The three holiday trees display light shows set to music. A walk-through tree will be located near the Koi Pond. As you approach, the lighting changes. There will also be a skating rink near Bloomingdales that launches Nov. 17 (weather permitting). The price to skate per person is $12 and $10 if you bring your own personal skates.
