Take a harvest-moon hayride at a Naperville Park. Bring your food or fixings for s'mores to cook over the bonfire; hot chocolate and hot cider provided. Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume (parents included) and come to Knoch Knolls Park or Seager Park. Each registered child ages 1-12 who checks in with the hayride coordinator will receive a Halloween goodie bag filled with treats and prizes. Bring your own food to cook over the bonfire or bring the fixings for s'mores. Hot chocolate and apple juice provided. Registration required. Oct. 20, 21 and 27.

Enjoy an evening of scary stories that will send shivers up your spine. This is an outdoor event; dress warmly and bring blankets and cushions. Tickets are available online beginning Sept. 12. They also may be purchased at the Park District Administration Building or at the door on a cash-only, limited seating basis. No refunds.

Circus In The Parks, featuring Chicago's Midnight Circus, a high-flying assortment of acrobats, aerialists, clowns, contortionists and even a dog tour Chicago parks under a brand new purple and blue little big top. To purchase tickets visit www.CircusInTheParks.org.

Take a ride along the trails of Deep River at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 6-28. Rides are first come, first served.

Exhibit includes bats, uniforms, contracts, team traveling suitcases and much more from Reggie Jackson. Items in the exhibit are presented in collaboration with the Mr. October Foundation for Kids, a non-profit organization to benefit at-risk children.

An arts focused event where children are encouraged to craft and create a board that depicts what they love, what they are interested in, as well as hopes and dreams. Supervision and materials will be provided, including pre-cut images for children too young to use scissors. Meets at UrbaBaby, 1751 W. Division.
