The Teddy Bears' Picnic

Emerald City's Little Theatre | Chicago, Ill.

This is Emerald City Theatre's first production for ages 0-4 in it's new Little Theatre, designed as an interactive theater for the very young. The performance includes gentle sound and lighting effects that create a full sensory experience, building a simple story with the audience through repetition and participation, a shoe-free experience for parents and kids. The show lasts about 45 minutes. Runs through Aug. 10.

Cost: $14 for ages one and up, and $7 for children under one

Celebrating its 19th season, Dance Chicago 2013 is the cornerstone of the city's fall dance season, showcasing over 300 individual acts from more than 3,000 dancers and choreographers from Chicago's best dance companies.

Kaitlin's Hideout for Kids with Autism | Glen Ellyn, Ill.

Watch movies, snack and learn how to interact with others. Through a party atmosphere teens and tweens are gently guided through the friend making process, answer questions, listen to concerns and support. Reservations are required.

Big Draw Chicago

Chicago Cultural Center | Chicago, Ill.

A month-long drawing festival that brings people together through informal art-making. Designed for professional sketchers, budding artists, and everyone in-between, the festival features more than 25 art happenings at iconic cultural sites and unexpected places throughout Chicago.
