Park District of Highland Park Annual Egg Hunt “Egg-stravaganza” | Highland Park, Ill.


Gather colorful eggs filled with toys and fun surprises. One special egg will hold a family pass to Hidden Creek AquaPark for Summer 2014. Be sure to keep an eye out for a special guest.

Easter at the Cove

Activities include Easter Glitter Art, Create Your Own Easter Bag, Monster Egg Decorating, Easter Scavenger Hunt, Easter Egg Chick Photo Frame, Create Your Own Easter Egg Wreath, Easter Headband Craft, Animal Egg Decorating, Jumbo Foam Eggs, Story Time With Easter Bunny and Create Your Own Easter Magic Screen. Egg Hunt Activity

Kohl Children's Museum | Glenview, Ill.

Two outdoor egg hunts in the Museum's outdoor Habitat Park exhibit with special toddler and young children areas sectioned off to ensure that everyone has fun. Two special eggs will contain a gift certificate for a Kohl Children's Museum membership while all others will reveal candy, toys or other fun and exciting prizes.

Learn about the tradition of coloring Easter eggs and create a beautiful Easter egg to take home.

Natural Egg Dyeing

Elgin Public Museum | Elgin, Ill.

Play with designs by adding crayon drawings and rubber band reliefs for a new take on traditional dyes. Explore the Museum while the eggs are dyeing. Recipes are provided so you can try your hand at natural dyes at home.

Earth Day Concert for Kids

Joe Reilly is a singer, songwriter and environmental educator from Ann Arbor, Mich. and is the official Troubadour of National Get Outdoors Day. He offers an interactive musical program for kids that teaches ecology and environmental science.
