Chicago-based teacher and singer/songwriter Shana Harvey leadskids in an interactive sing-along with folk songs from all over the world. Snacks, blankets and music-makers welcome. Kids must be accompanied by an adult and pre-registration is required.
After a fun and informative presentation, participants will hike through Glacial Park to observe bats flying out of a barn at dusk. Wear comfortable shoes for a one mile hike.

The science fiction romance Dissonance features heroine Delancy Sullivan, a young woman with a special gift: she can travel between countless parallel worlds created each time someone makes a choice. Author Erica O’Rourke discusses the creation of Dissonance, answers questions from the audience, and signs copies of her work. Refreshments will be served.
Beginning July 1, children can stop by for a list of participating stores, which each have a 6" Waldo figurine hidden somewhere on the premises. When the child finds him, that business's staff will give the child a card that says "I found Waldo at _____." Bring all the cards back for chances to win prizes.
Enter a tree house village filled with adventure and
imagination. Play, make believe, and become part of the trees'
ever-changing tale. The exhibition is comprised of six fun-filled,
educational tree houses, aimed at kids 2-10.
